to be honest.. and im not saying this as a negative thing, you all put in lots of work and that is great! But, well, your raps arent raps, or poems. As rutz said, your just rhyming stuff. Basically your just taking what could be a flame war and making it rhyme. I haven't seen any meaning in the lyrics of any of the "raps". So, i'll be surprised if someone writes something that has meaning, and isnt just "fuck you", "you suck, I own you", and stuff like that put into rhymes and called a rap.

And I know my post is gonna get lots of criticism, but throw it at me, I want all people to express their views.

1) yes, rap can be an art. And a talent. but when all you are doing is making disses, thats not much of a talent, at least to me (again, not to offend people, just stating my opinions). Rap, itself, is "the rhythmic spoken delivery of rhymes, wordplay, and poetry". In other words, rap is how you deliver a poem, wordplay, rhymes, etc. so typing it isn't actually rap. Its just rhymes, wordplay, poetry etc.

2) The point of rapping never was to diss, thats just how modern people go by it. As I said, even professionals do it, but I dont think the actual creating of the disses takes much "talent". But the rappers have good voices and have a complete style of saying those raps.

The vulgar language, the constant personal swipes, the agressive nature of these raps, to me at least, makes the meaning quite clear. It expresses the writers emotons very clearly to me. It expresses to me that sk8er wants to rip apart Rutz (rap wise) and vice versa. Seriously though - raps with meaning don't always have to be about the topics everyone can relate to. See, Nas's rap about hating Jay Z - not many people can relate to hating Jay Z. But that rap still had meaning. And Eminem's rap about hating being famous - maybe some can relate to that, but not all of us. Many of us can't but still - that rap has meaning. Every rap has meaning, if you look at it the right way.

First of all, I do write meaningfull raps all the time, but not here. I'm an artist, I have my own recording studio(honestly) and I don't just write raps, I play guitar and write songs too. Second, there is a point of rap for me, maybe not for other rappers but there is for me. Third, PLEASE VOTE! First 5 votes will tell us who wins.
