Great a new site, that is going to be fun for me to join since every time i try to join a forum my "parental controls block the site"

this might be completely random but this Marc guy makes me feel small and insignificant.

It will be easy to convert the forum from phpBB2 to phpBB3 while keeping the style. You just need to have a little more minor updates to complete the full beauty of a phpBB3 style.

CSS is dead in phpBB2. None of the cool features works. I would rather a punBB forum version than a phpBB2. But, you can start off with the phpBB2, then in the feature, you can maybe switch to a phpBB3 style for a mile stone.

I can create a quick test forum while I use the same images, styles, ect of the new upcoming forum, and show you a phpBB3 style of it so that you can see if you like it better.

Which one would you prefer? Also knowing that you can do much more with a phpBB3 forum, except that phpBB2 forums only allows template editing.

Template editing is when the forum founder can modify certain areas of the forum by removing/adding codes, ect...

Well, I think we go with the one with the 3 in the name.

If we switched from the current phpbb2 to a phpbb3, would there be a big difference in the style? And how would you go about the change?

No, you will lose everything if you just do it right away. That is why I said, I will do this on my test board, and save it. Then, I will give you the password to the test board, and you can take the style.

You should always save your theme if you encounter an error :

Admin Panel=>Display Tab=>Styles=>Themes management=>Export your theme=>Save your theme to your computer, and then when am finish with the changes on my test board, you can gain access to it and you will have to back-up themes. One, phpBB3 and the other, phpBB2.

And, I just went to
Display -> Choose a theme -> PhpBB3
And it loaded a page. It gave me somewhat of a preview of what it would be like. It seems fine to me. If I hit save, all the images would really be gone?

Yes, if you hit save, all of the images will be gone and the only way you might be able to back up your forum is by logging into the forum utilities or by re-setting the theme. So, do not save.
