Main Review:

Plants vs Zombies is a tower defense game that was made by Popcap in May 2009. You can play it on a Iphone, Mac OS X and on Windows, an Xbox version is aslo about to be developed on the Xbox Live store.

What to do:

Zombies are trying to eat our brains (ARGH!!!!), but we have good 'ol plants that are on our side. You have 3 backgrounds, Front Yard, Backyard and roof, Front Yard and Backyard have day and night and Roof only has Day time. What you have to do is put Plants in your front yard to prevent zombies from eating your brains, while the zombies does eat the plants to get through, the plants will at 85% of the time, defeat the zombies, you buy plants.

Types of plants:

Peashooter - This is a basic plant, It just shoots 1 pea at a time
Sunflower - Gives you sun
Cherry Bomb - It explodes a zombies in a area
Wall-Nut - Protects your plants
Potato Mine - Takes out 1 enemy, takes time to reload
Snow Pea - Makes the zombies go alot slower
Chomper - They chew up one zombie whole, takes awhile to chew, though
Repeater - Shots 2 plants at a time
Puff-shroom - A free plant, shoots close range
Sun-shroom - Gives you lower sun, then normal sun
Fume-shroom - Shoots out fumes at a zombie
Grave Buster - Gets rid of graves
Hypno-shroom - Will hypotesis a Zombie
Scaredy-shroom - Long range version of Puff shroom
Ice-Shroom - Freezes every zombie on screen
Doom-shroom - Will blow up every zombie in a certain area
Lily pad - Allow you to build on water
Squash- Squashs Zombies
Threepeater - Shoots Peas 3 ways
Tangle Kelp- Like Potato Mine, but in water
Jalapeno - Destory every zombie in a lane
Spikeweed - Damages Zombies and pops tyres
Torchwood - Makes peashooters shoot fire
Tall-Nut - Stronger very of walnut
Sea-shroom- Like Puff Shroom but in water
Plantern - Lights up the fog
Cactus - Pops ballons aswell as attacking normal zombies
Blover - Blow away fog and balloon zombies
Split Pea - A plant that has 2 sides
Starfruit - Shoots stars in 5 directions
Pumpkin - Protects other Plants
Magnet-shroom - Steals metal objects
Cabbage-pult - Shoots cabbage at zombies
Flower Pot - Let's you plant things on a roof
Kernel-pult - Well lob corn and butter
Coffee Bean - Wakes up night plants
Garlic - Makes a zombie go into a different lane
Umbrella Leaf - Protects from flying zombies
Marigold - Splits out cash to collect
Melon-pult. - Will lob Watermelons at your Zombies
Imitater - The imitater works just like your other plants. In fact it works EXACTLY like your other plants. Pick the imitater and it will give you the option to pick a plant. This way you can have two of the same plant in your arsenal. This will reduce the waiting time to build plants by half

Special Plants:

Gatling Pea - Upgrade for the Repeater, shoots 4 peas.
Twin Sunflower - Produces two sun at a time.
Gloom-Shroom- An upgraded version of Puff Scroom
Cattail - Upgrade Lily pad, shoots spikes at any lane.
Winter Melon - Upgrade of the Melon-Pult, Basically frozen melons.
Gold Magnet-shroom - Inexpensive upgrade to the Magnet-shroom. It takes all gold and diamonds.
Spiderock - This upgrade to the Spikeweed, it can pop sereval tyres and cause greater damage
Cob Cannon - This is the strongest plant you can get. You must build it over two Kernel Pults, and click it to activate its massive attack

Zombies:

Regular Zombie - A regular zombie, you see this one alot, mostly in huge waves.
Flag Zombie - A regular Zombie, with a flag.
Conehead Zombie - A regular zombie, with a cone on his head.
Pole Vaulting Zombie - Pole valuts over the first plant.
Buckethead Zombie - A regular zombie, with a bucket on his head.
Newspaper zombie - A regular zombie, with a newspaper.
Screen Door Zombie - A regular zombie, with a screen door.
Football Zombie - A football player zombie.
Dancing zombie - OMG Micheal Jackson Zombie!!!
Backup Dancer - A helper of the Micheal Jackson Zombie.
Ducky Tube Zombie - A weak zombie who appears in the pool.
Snorkel Zombie - Keeps underwater til he attacks.
Zomboni - Crushes Plants and Creates a Ice track.
Zombie Bobsled Team - A bobsled with 4 zombies in it.
Dolphin Rider Zombie - Similar to Pole Voler, but in water.
Jack-in-the-Box Zombie - Will randomly explode and kill your plants.
Balloon Zombie - Will float over your defenses otherwise weak.
Digger Zombie - Will dig underground.
Pogo Zombie -Will hop over all plants.
Zombie Yeti - Rarely only appears at night.
Bungee Zombie - Will either steal plant or put a zombie.
Ladder zombie - Will put a ladder on a Wal-nut.
Catapult Zombie - Basically a zombie with a Catapult.
Gargantuar - Will crush plants and is a very big zombie.
Imp zombie - A zombie who shoots basketballs.
Dr. Zomboss - He is the ladder of all zombies.

Mini Games:

Zombotony
In this one the zombies are also plants!
Wall-nut Bowling:
Use wal-nuts to Destory the zombies
Slot machine:
Use the sun you get to use the slot machine
It's raining seeds:
Plant seeds rain out of the sky.
Beghouled:
You match plants while fighting zombies!
Invisi-ghoul
Its pretty basic, other than the fact that the zombies are invisible.
Seeing Stars:
This one is pretty basic too, You just need to fill in the stars on the lawn with the starfruit
Zombiquarium:
This one is a basic clone of insaniquarium. Just save up and buy 5 or 6 zombies then let the sun roll in. Don't forget to feed them!
Beghouled Twist:
Just like bejeweled twist! Same concept as beghouled
Big Trouble little zombie:
All of the zombies are tiny.
Portal combat:
This ones a bit tricky. Keep an eye on where the portals are but still build evenly as the portals will move around the map.
Column like you see 'em: You basically start with the same plants each time.
Bobsled bonanza:
There are alot of bobsleds in this level!
Zombie nimble, zombie quick:
No crazy tricks here, everything is just faster
Whack a Zombie
All you do is just whack zombies
Last stand:
You need to survive 5 rounds.
ZomBotany 2:
Just like zombotany only harder.
Wall-nut bowling 2
Just like Wall-nut bowling only harder.
Pogo Party:
Basically, every zombie has pogosticks
Dr. Zomboss's revenge:
Basically the boss of the mini games.

Puzzle:

There are really only two puzzles here, one is vases and the other you play as the zombies.

Vasebreaker style:

Start with the vases that have plants in them
After that start at the back and work on one lane at a time.
Don't put too many plants in one lane, you will need to make sure you have at least one offensive plant in each lane or its impossible to win.
In the later levels keep some squash for Gargantuars.

I, Zombie style:

In this version, you actually get to play as the zombies!

Survival:

This is basically a endless mode.

Overall:

A great game with alot of gameplay.
