Oh dear... I feel terrible for you. As to what I think may have triggered the crash, it could have been anything. The fog was definitely a major contributing factor, but it could have been engine failure, steering failure, human error, anything.

Will, they will set up a investigator to investigate the crash and i really feel bad about the polish. But like Aloe said, it could be anything.

Eh, it's a possibility, the plane was part of a memorial service relating to a Soviet Secret police mass murder.

well that sucks for poland, good luck with the new Gov. members.

i would say i feel sorry but i wasn't invold in the plane crash so why apologize.

most likely pilot error, however the sad thing is security and plane mantanece along with safety levels for high level political officials is usually worse than that on commercial flights, so it could of been mechanical or electrical failure.

Could've been almost anything. I doubt sabotage however.

My theory is it was the heavy fog that caused them to miss the runway, and most Russian runways aren't that great, hence, they crashed.

I blame the pilot. Air control told him to abort the landing and go to a nearby back-up airport, but he didnt listen. He went through heavy fog and mist. He also tried to land from a high altitude while getting pretty close to the runway. He was coming down too fast in a short distance, and couldnt be completely accurate in his landing.
