Summary:


Sonic was created in 1991 hoping to be more popular then Mario and take Nintendo out of the system race and to get a new mascot from Alex Kidd. His first appearance was in the game "Sonic the Hedgehog" on the "Genesis", also known as the Mega Drive. It was a success, with the game following on with "Sonic the Hedgehog "2" and "Sonic the Hedgehog 3".




Plots/Game (Well-Known Games):


Sonic the Hedgehog: Dr Eggman has turned all the animals into evil machines! Sonic must save the animals and defeat Dr Eggman.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2: Stop Dr Eggman from discovering the Chaos Emeralds and completing the ultimate weapon, the “Death Egg”.

Sonic The Hedgehog 3: After Dr Eggman’s “Death Egg” has lost its ability to fly after crashing on Floating Island, he needs the ability of the Chaos Emeralds to repair his ship. To get this, he tricks Knuckles that Sonic and Tails are really the enemies...

Sonic and Knuckles: After blasting the “Death Ship” to pieces, Sonic is determined to find the Emeralds on the Floating Island, but Knuckles is determined to stop Sonic.

Sonic Adventure: It features Sonic coming back from vacation only to find the city "Station Square" being attack by a new enemy called Chaos.

Sonic Advance: Sonic is trying to save the world! Dr Eggman is trying to take the world. You know what to do.


Sonic Adventure 2: Sonic is on the run after he is mistaken for a new enemy called Shadow.

Sonic Heroes: Sonic teams up with Knuckles and Tails after the rebuilt Metal Sonic disobeys his master and has his own plans for world domination.

Sonic Unleashed: Sonic turns into a Werehog at night. While sonic becomes more powerful, he loses his speed.


Sonic and Sega All Star Racing: This game is about 8 characters all trying to get to the finish line first.


Appearances in TV shows:


Sonic the Hedgehog: This is about a bunch of characters called the “Freedom Fighters” that is made up of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy. They are trying to defeat Dr Eggman and save the world from other Enemies.




Other Game Appearances:

The other games Sonic appeared in Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games and Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games. More games are Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg, Phantasy Star Online and Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Overall:


He is a great video game character with some good superpowers. However, the main reason he was created was because SEGA wanted to get Nintendo out of the system race. So that was why I rated Sonic 4.5/5 Stars.

The latest Sonic releases arent very good as the first Sonic game.
