Kongregate gives game developers an opportunity to make revenue off their games. The developers get 50% revenue of their game. The users also have a huge impact on Kongregate and their games. Whether it’s Tips from the users or ads on the game or site. Platform racing 2 uses Kongregate's API. Most of the user's are teenagers. Though you'll find a 7 year old spammer in the chatrooms, moderators are available to help/silence/permanent ban members of Kongregate. The founding father of Kongregate is Jim Greer (username jimgreer), and his sister Emily Greer (Username Emily_Greer).
Features- Spoiler:
Kongregate offers many features. Including their API, Badges and or achievements, Kreds system (online currency) and of course, games. First, let’s discuss their API. Their API offers developers to make their game with badges or achievements. Then we talk about Badges, points, and achievements system. Members get points of game achievements, and then badges. Many users are around the Level capacity (65). Although the main reason users level up are due to achievements, most users, like Jayisgames for example, has hit the level capacity mostly to Member referral. Then when the referred member levels up, Jayisgames gets 5-15 points.
Popular games - Spoiler:
Most games have made popularity off Kongregate. Platform Racing 2 has been a huge hit, with over 16,990,780 plays. Platform Racing 2 isn't the only one. U.M.A.G(Unnamed multiplayer artillery game) has been such a hit, 1,686,833 plays isn't bad. Kongregate also develops games. Kongai is one of their game brands. The games purpose's is card game, which you can purchase with Kreds.

Developers get 75% of the revenue, only some get 50%. Depends on how popular the game gets.
Way more adults use Kongregate than Teenagers.
Every game with badges uses the Kongregate API. Same with every game with High Scores.
Emily came up with the site, Jim created it. Emily was the main idea of it.

20 users are at level 65, all of them have used the Member Referral to get there. Actually, everybody above level 48 has, and some users with less than that have as well.
You get 15 points per refer, you get more as they level up, max of 90 more.

I think the last name is somewhat important. For all I know my friend emily and my dad's friend Jim could have made it.
