I'm sick and tired of IE8. So, I'm finally giving up and switching browsers. But, which one I switch to isn't going to be up to me. It's going to be up to you.

Tell me why, on this thread, which internet browser is the best. DOn't post stupid crap either about, "Oh, it's the best because I use it." No. That means you're an egotistical a**hole. End of story.

So, go ahead. I'm open to every browser out there. Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Opera, shoot me. Go ahead.

All i can say about Chrome is that it's really simple and therefore really fast. Firefox has all these add-ons that slow it down.

Chrome has this thing where it shows the 8 most frequent web pages you visit, so every time you open it you only have to click on the picture of the website you want to go to. Only thing I don't like about it is that if you click the X in the top right corner, all of your tabs close (which is why i always close them individually). However, it saves them, and right under those 8 pictures i told you about is the history (which btw is very easy to clear ) that shows what you visited in case you had to shut it down unexpectedly. Also, I never get any of those "error reports" that force me to close it down.

But seriously, speed is the No. 1 reason why I use chrome

I'd recommend asking Marc about Firefox, he can probably give it a better review than any of us can.

I have seen the top 8 thing, I think it is very cool.

I use firefox sometimes and I actually enjoy it, and it's quite fast for my computer, though I have heard good things about chrome I'm thinking about using it.

OK, no jokes.

Chrome doesn't fuckin take up the whole entire page with useless toolbars and options. It's extremely simple and clean. It also has sort-of like addons like FF, but they recommend the best of the best extensions. They also do not slow down the internet speed, like FF does with it's add-ons.

The only toolbar it has is a favorites toolbar, but it can be removed. And plus, it's much shorter in height than the FF bookmark toolbar.

So Chrome really does a very good job surfing the web.

If it allows for better speed than i'm up for it.

I love Safari, but I have a Mac so... you may not want to use it.

Firefox. Because it's awesome...

The real reason to use Firefox is because...
1) It's faster than Chrome.
2) You can change the standard background of your broswer to over 30 000 other backgrounds.
3) Security is the best compared to other broswers
4) Firefox will remember the pages you were on if the computer automatically shuts down.

The only disadvantage is that the browser takes up alot of memory, but i doesn't really matter, does it?

I think different browsers can suit different people for what they want and can suit different computers accordingly, so I think you should just choose the one that you think you would be most satisfied with in terms of what you want.

I just wanna know, what was the final straw that made you give up IE8?

Well, firefox is good for watching videos and other stuff. But internet explorer would just about slow everything down. Opera is good too, but like internet explorer, it just about lags if you open up too many pages. Chrome is fast to start up, loads web pages fast, and best of all, the simplicity, clean and simple. Chrome also has good security because it has built in malaware and phishing protection. Chrome also has great features, including translations in the browser, and extensions. Although the most common web browsers might seem the best for you, don't be fooled. Although Chrome seems the best, There are other web browsers out there, just keep looking ;D. EDIT: unless someone can come up with a really good set of reasons for me to go to Firefox, I'm going with Chrome.

I trying Chrome right now... It fast, but it's looks weird, lol.
And it doesn't have the a/A thingy. And it's in widescreen, which makes it look stretched.

On Windows, Chrome is better than Firefox. On iMac, Firefox is the best browser, because both Chrome and Safari suck on an iMac.
