They're on the rise again, so I figured a thread would be approriate. I personally think they're ancient compared to now, but they're cool because they make you think, how does music come from a disk and a pointer?

It is kinda cool that they are on the rise again, but i doubt they will be for too long.

People will bring them back, think they're cool for a couple years, then they will completely die out. A last gasp kind of thing.

Sorta like Converse.

Records have a nice unique sound to them that you just don't get from MP3s or CDs, thats probably why they're on the rise...But 8-tracks and Cassettes, they're probably gone for good, considering their sound isn't that special compared to CD/MP3s.

You get better sound from records.
