So I'm getting a new iPod because mine went through the wash because my mum didn't check the pockets of my school uniform before shoving it in the wash because she was in a rush but it was also partly my fault because I USUALLY take my iPod outta there /runonsentence
Anyway I can't decide WHICH ONE TO GET? I'm leaning towards that new little nano? Or should I get an iPod touch? Any ideas?

Lawl I took my iPod outside a morning after it rained the night before and threw it into some trees multiple times and it was fine. Didn't even use rice. It hadn't worked properly for a while, so I decided to knock some sense into it. It still works...

The iTouch has apps that are awesome and internet browsing and stuff

Get what you want, it's your choose... However, the nano would be for more "on the go." While the iTouch would be if you have enough time at home to searching the web, download apps, etc.

I have the 3rd generation iTouch, and I'll be the first to tell you, it was the best $60 I've ever spent to upgrade. Get the iTouch.

Do you really need the camera on the new one? I mean, retina display is nice but Id go one generation older because it cheaper and just as good

That works when its dropped in water and quickly removed after a couple of seconds. Going through the wash will almost always destroy an iPod.

Look I have the new touch 4 trust me it's the best iPod ever made it's like the iPhone 4 but with no contract. It's your opinion . I recommend you the 8GB but I have the 32 GB:)
