| The majority of staff and users, who voted in the polls, have agreed upon letting non staff members add games into the Arcade, this means that instead of requesting a game in the request thread, you can just add it into the Arcade straight away. Although if you wish to use the request thread, that will be fine. This is what Syfte says to how to add a game to the arcade and I don't think I can add anything else to it. - Syfte wrote:
- So, when you find a game that you would like to add, search Google the title of the game, then after that, '.swf'
Example, for say Tetris, what you search is:
tetris.swf
Then, find the result with [flash] infront of it and go to that link.
The link for tetris: http://www.channel125.com/games/tetris.swf
Copy the link, and make a new topic with the name of the game as the title. Then, press the button with the "F" on it (second button to the far right)
Paste the link into the section where the chain is. Then, type in the pixels you want for the game. (I reccomend 690 by 500) Hit "OK" The outcome will be: - Code:
-
[flash(690,690)]http://www.channel125.com/games/tetris.swf[/flash]
To look more proffessional, on the sides of the that BBCode, type - Code:
-
[center]The code here[/center] . It should look like this: - Code:
-
[center][flash(690,500)]http://www.channel125.com/games/tetris.swf[/flash][/center]
Add a description, and you're good! :) To search for the game, like the quote says, type in the name of the game into google, then put .swf it should come up with suggestions that have .swf at the end, if you have trouble, follow this guide, which was also written by Syfte (isn't he wonderful). - Syfte wrote:
- After you haveve found your game to add to the arcade, it can be very frustrating trying to find the correct .swf file for it. The following guide will give you tips to make finding them easier.
- Search for the .swf:
When you have found your game, go to www.google.com and type in: - Code:
-
NAME-OF-GAME.swf Hit enter. For our example, we are using the game Nano Ninja from www.notdoppler.com, a great site for games.
- Search Results:
After hitting the SEARCH button / ENTER, you come up with something like this:
- Spoiler:
Sadly, there is no link that includes "[FLASH]" in the title. Time to give up? Not yet. Looking into most of the links, you will find a link with ".swf" at the end in the description.
- Spoiler:
- Trial and Error:
Before adding the game, test to see if the game works, and if it is the right link. To do this, copy the address and paste it into your web browser.

- Finishing Up:
Once you are done, just follow the steps in this guide and add you game to the arcade and the list of games.
Thank you and have fun! Big thanks to Syfte for writing those guide things all those months ago. |
