Well, to start, what form do these functions have to be in?

I can tell you now that...

-The MAX of the first one (TOP one on the pic) is +1, the MIN of the second one (BOTTOM one on the pic) is -1. From that, you can get the beginnings of an equation in vertex form.

Other than that, I'm not much help. Get Dan, he knows this stuff better than everyone else here combined.
