I hope that at least Tim knows about this 1990-1992 cassette album by Dave Grohl under the pseudonym "Late!".
Friend of a Friend, track 3 of the album, is about first meeting Krist and Kurt, recorded in full secrecy. Amazing song.

It's actually really good, two songs (Marigold (called Color Pictures of a Marigold) and this one) were later "redone" by the Foo Fighters. Marigold was also a B-Side of the Heart-Shaped Box single by Nirvana. One of my favourite songs.

As recording sessions for the album were completed, Cobain grew tired of the title and suggested to Novoselic that the new album be named Nevermind. Cobain liked the title because it was a metaphor for his attitude on life, and because it was grammatically incorrect.
