Oh boy, do I have a story this time around.

So I was bowling in normal Saturday youth league on March 31, about 2 and a half weeks ago. So I throw a shot on my second game (third frame I believe) and feel a tug in my forearm just as I release the ball. A little pain, but I fought through it (made the spare I had left) and finished out the match, nbd. Told my parents about it, they said just take it easy this week and see how it goes. So I do (it was Spring Break, so I didn't do much.) So I go through break, the little bit of pain is gone by April 2nd (Monday). So my thought is ok, I just pulled something, nbd, back to normal. So I bowl youth league again the following week (April 6) with no worries.

Here's where it gets fun.

I go on a college visit on Friday the 13th. We get to play some basketball in the gym. Mind you, I've never shot hoops in probably 3 years, so I have NO form whatsoever. However, I feel no pain or injure myself shooting, which was expected.

I get home Friday night though, and whew...my elbow in the same arm I felt the tug in, is on FIRE.

So I go to bed with some Ibuprofen thinking that'll take care of it, I just pulled something again. Wrong. Ibuprofen (600 mg prescription dose) does NOTHING. I bowl Saturday morning, somehow, some way, just to finish the season out.

I'm hurting even more after finishing league, and we (my parents and I) decide to get a orthopedic appointment early this week. Well, that was yesterday.

(Keep in mind prior to the appointment, the pain stayed the same, perhaps got worse.)

So we go to the doctor. They take an X-Ray, looks perfectly fine. So it's not a bone problem. So our next thought is ligament/tendon/joint issue. The doc tells me it's probably tennis elbow and I have 2 options. Option 1 is long term, 4-6 weeks of physical therapy to strengthen the muscles. Not happening. Option 2 is a cortisone injection. That takes about a week. Bingo.

So he does the injection. This needle was about 2 inches long. What was really neat was he moved the needle around so much that my MOM started to turn green. I thought it was cool.

So as of right now, we're waiting to see if the injection's gonna work. If it does, I'm good to go in a couple weeks. If not...it means an MRI and probably a torn tendon which means surgery.

Lol. I didn't even tell you about the part where he accidentally clipped my bone with the side of the needle when he moved it around. That hurt pretty damned bad.

Lol. Doc said I might be able to bowl the end of year tournament in a couple weeks. I think that's stretching it though.

The MRI sucked horse cock. Had my elbow basically completely straightened, which hurt like hell, then because the blood flow was cut off my hand went numb as nuts.

Update time.

Injection may have worked after all. DId have the MRI but nothing showed up. Thus no surgery.

Eh, idk if that's so true. Wouldn't have minded the month off of school with my arm immobilized.
