I know we've had several threads in the past asking about what cars everybody is thinking of getting/has/wants to get/whatever the case may be, but I think it's time for an update. Also if you wanna tell us where you are in the licensing process of your particular state, that'd be cool too.

As for me I've been sitting on my permit for about 5 months, license in late August. Will be driving either my dad's 2001 Toyota Tundra or my uncle's 2004 Lexus RS 350 that will soon be ours. Redneck days (most days) will be the truck. Yuppie days will be the Lexus.

i get zeh license in july. my dad was talking of buying a new car, identical to the one he sent two of my silbings off to college with. this hyundai accent would be mine. (no flames Ein) (loljk everyone has a right to their own opinion)

Eh, I can go for my driver's licence in a year now. Ah well, I wouldn't be able to afford a car anyway.

I have my permit, earliest I can get my license is July but I'm 0 for 12 with onroads so far, so probably not until later. I probably won't get a car, definitely can't afford one myself but I might inherit Mom's, a '95 Camry with 180k miles and an oil leak. Not exactly a dream car, but it runs at least.

Actually you should be good dude. Just googled camrys and it said they can last over 300k miles.

Edit: Camry actually has 215k miles. Thanks though Tristan, good to know. What year is the Rabbit you might get?

Also, my white-upper-middle-class town in action; while waiting for a ride Thursday, a Porsche Boxster, Maserati Quattroporte, and Nissan GT-R drove by in a 2-minute window.

I second that. It's gotten to the point around me where my Lexus next year will be nice, but it won't be the best car in the student lot. It'll be top 20 if I'm lucky.
