Anything not made in Japan is an automatic POS for me, no matter if it costs six figures, that's the purchase price, over 10 years you can double it and get the maintenance costs if it even still runs.

(And notice I criticize American AND European cars. Fords and Dodges suck just as bad as Mercedes and BMWs maintenance-wise.)

And how many miles does it have on it? (subtract the number from 120,000 and you have your "miles to go" before a new transmission/other expensive as shit repair is needed.)

Not saying in any other way but reliability. And perhaps it hasn't crept up yet. But it will. I know from experience. Toyota Tundra bought in 2001 has 190,000 miles on it. Grand total of repairs: 2. Cost of said repairs: $100. Dodge Caravan bought in 2002 had 105,000 miles on it. Grand total of repairs: 7. Total cost of repairs: well over $4000. We got rid of it earlier this year and promptly bought a used 2004 Lexus with 100k on it and ZERO repairs. In 8 years and 100k miles with regular oil and tire changes.

Reliability? My mom's been driving her used doge for over 10 years. My uncle's been driving his for about the same. My cousin got handed down a dodge from my other uncle that he's driven for about 6 years and she's had it for about 2 years herself. Dodge is very reliable.
