Directer Frenchman Alexandre Aja displays a stunning combination of a classic and original taste of horror in the chilling remake of a cheesy Korean film. Unlike most films we like to call "horror", this movie provides 110 minutes of nonstop excruciating and horrifying images. Paula Patton also gives a stunning performance of removing her robe right before taking a bath, which leads to a spine chilling thirty seconds of horrific images of her ripping off her own jaw. Not only is the film extremely horrifying and gory, it also portrays a fascinating story of an evil force that we look upon in our every day routines. Superb acting by Kiefer Show also adds immense anticipation and suspense to the film, as well as a cussing frenzy throughout the R-rated fright fest. A surprise twist at the end also adds clarification to the movie as well as a surprise revelation to the real world. This film is nothing short of shocking as the only thing "Mirrors" reflects is our own hidden fears.
