Generalities:

The first thing I saw when clicking the link to your forum, was your forum, and nothing more. Most successful forums have a homepage of some sort, and in seeing your previous work, I've seen you're a good coder. So if you have the time, a homepage could be a good idea. Under the banner of your forum, you have spaces which are reserved for advertising purposes. All of which are empty, which shows your forum may not be used very often for advertising. But that'll be talked about more in the activity section. In total you have 25 sections in four different categories. Seems pretty good for a forum ment for advertisement. Under the ZA main category, you have Announcements, a Support Tickets System, Introductions, Feedback, and the Shop at which ZA points can be spent at. This is all great, although I'm not very sure what the Support Tickets System is. Under the Contests category, there are contests held on your site in paticular, and there are also contests in which sites can battle each other to prove which is the best. Once again, all good. Under your services category is where I found problems. The sections include Site Advertisement, Newspaper Stand, Employement Center, Affiliations, Exchange Center, Packaging Center, Reviews, Sticky Ads, Site Showcase, Graphics Corner, and Chatbox. There are two problems with these you might want to look at. The first is the fact that your first section is entitled Site Advertisement. All sections are sections at which you can advertise, so why would you name it that? In the description you state that the section is ment for your forum to be added to the directory, so why not name it "Directory Requests"? The second problem I saw was the Chatbox section. No one has ever used it, and the reason may be that you haven't really explained what it is for. Moving on, your General Chat category has the sections of News, Technology, Sports, Business, Entertainment, Chat, and ZA Lounge. I found no problems with this specific category. However, in most of your descriptions to your sections, there are many issues with grammar, which may make you seem unprofessional. I realize you have a few learning issues with the english language, which is why I suggest you find an assistant administrator, who knows the english language well. Everything else I found fine.

Graphics:

I will say to you what I say to all forums owners whose forums I review. When a guest visits your forum, the first thing they will notice is your banner. Which is the reason why you want to make it both professional, and appealing. Your banner is simple, yet it compliments the forum well and has a great design. However, the Available Now sticker to the side of it is slightly unappealing to me. I think if I'm able to visit your forum, then it's fairly obvious that your forum is available. But to others it may look nice, so it's up to you if you'd like for it to stay or not. The skin of your forum is one of the best I've seen, in my opinion. I absolutely love the style of it, especially at the top. It looks excellent. Below your banner is your navigation bar. Normally, navigation bars stay on one line, for example the one on this forum. Yours almost fits on one line, but one part of it is on the second. That part is the calender, which to be honest users never really take a look at. To make it so that it fits on one line, you could either remove the calender button, or find a new navigation bar. To find some, scroll through the graphics section of the help forum. Other icons of your forum, like the ones that show if there are new posts or not, are fine. They're not the best, but they do make it obvious as to when new posts have been posted. The last images I feel I should comment on are the ranks for your staff team, and VIP members. They all look great, you've done a fine job designing them. I see no problems with them.

Usergroups:

Your legend consists of eight usergroups, including the Founder, Administrators, Moderation Team, Reviewers, Packagers, Graphic Designers, VIP Members, and Members. First of all, there is no need to distinguish between the founder and the administrators, the founder group is basically pointless. The way people recognize the founder is by the head of the administration group, not an entire seperate group. Second, you've labeled your moderators as the Moderation Team. Why not just name them Moderators? That's how just about all forums call it, and it's what makes sense. Third, you have a VIP usergroup, but I don't see any special priveledges they get? What's the point of being in the group? Fourth, you have a group for normal members. I don't see why so many forums think this is a good idea. Isn't it quite obvious that everyone who isn't a staff member or VIP member, is a normal member? There's no need for that group in any way. The fifth and final thing I saw wrong with your usergroups, is the activity of them. Aside from yourself, you have only one staff member. I'm sorry, but for six staff usergroups, that's pathetic. Why not promote around for some staff members? As I've said earlier, you could seriously use another administrator. How are your reviews going to be completed with no reviewers? How will your forum have no spam without moderators? You can't complete everything on the forum yourself, unless you devote your entire life to it. Without staff, your forum will fall, if it hasn't already.

Activity:

Your forum has a total of 315 members, and 14877 posts. If your forum has been available for over two years, these numbers should be a bit higher. If your forum hasn't been available for too long, then these statistics are excellent! On average, the 14877 posts brings each member to approximately 47 posts. Although this is absolutely not the case. Most of your members have under ten posts. But this is how it is with most forums, and it's a fact that you just have to deal with. In your members who have been connected within the last 24 hours list, you have 20 members in it. This is about 16% of the total population of your forum. Not bad at all, could be better, but it's not bad at all. Especially for a forum ment for advertising purposes. As for the popularity of your staff, as I've already stated, it's terrible. You really should find most members for your staff team. There are many people willing to assist you, and who will do it for free. All in all, your forum isn't bad, but the services aren't used very often.

Generalities - 17/25
Graphics - 23/25
Usergroups - 12/25
Activity - 19/25
Total Score - 71%

Overall Suggestions:

  • Create a coded homepage, if you have the time. Or add a portal.
  • Explain your sections in more detail in the description.
  • Edit the grammar of the desciptions, maybe find someone to help you.
  • Take out the Calender button, or find a new navigation bar.
  • Take out the Founder and Members usergroups from the legend.
  • Change the title of the Moderation Team to just Moderators.
  • Most important suggestion - find staff for your forum!
  • Find an assistant adminstrator to help you with proper english and such.
  • Make your forum different from all others. Make it unique to keep members.
