Sooo...I've always owned at math. I'm the guy that finished first and got all A's most of the time in grade school. I know how to do the stuff you're stuck on. In Catholic school, my math group and I were starting Algebra 1 in the last quarter of 7th grade. Counts as the first part of Algebra 1, right? Well, that's the level I am currently on. I'll explain this more later. When 8th grade hit, we got these new math books that were stupid as hell...new, but unorganized...they do NOT correspond with the high school math system. For example, you could be doing Geometry one day and something TOTALLY different next day. The point is, my current school didn't know what math I had learned/was learning in 8th grade (when I scheduled my classes). As a compromise, they had me take a math quiz that day. It was pretty easy and they said I did REALLY well on it. Yet the highest they would let me go is Algebra 1 pt. 2. Fuck.

This isn't all. My school has block scheduling (4 classes a day, 8 each year, different ones per semester). I didn't know (they failed to inform me) that I could take a math BOTH semesters. Without that being said, I only scheduled one math for this year, Algebra 1 pt. 2. Even worse, I don't have it until second semester. Most of my friends have it THIS semester and Geometry next semester. greeeat. I'm behind people I'm smarter than. (trust me I know.) Now I'm at the same pace as the slowest people in my grade who are currently in 1 pt. 1. Total bullshit, through no fault of my own, I can't overachieve, let alone work at something close to my level. This sucks because I love math.

At least most people won't take 2 maths every year/take calc. This is my plan:

Grade 9:
S1: no math
S2: Alg 1 pt. 2

10:
S1: geometry
S2: Alg. 2

11:
S1. Alg. 3
S2. stats

12:
S1. precalc.
S2. calc.

+1 if you read the same thing and feel bad due to the fact that I LOVE MATH. you have to say this or no reputation point given.

i feel bad for you. i would shoot someone if i couldnt take math for a semester.

in other news, i just learned i made a 100 on my math final!!

P.S. whats algebra 3? we dont have that...

I love math too, and i took my final today and found out i could get a 32 on my final and still get an A in the class , but i really hope i dont get that haha.

I hate math but I know how you feel (I'm still really good at it kinda similar situation).

We take math all year, but we can only take one course per year. I.e. I took Alegbra 1 in 8th grade, Geometry in 9th, Algebra 2 in 10th, and I plan to take Precalc in 11th and Calc AB as a Senior.

And yeah, what's Algebra 3?

So were you in Pre-Al in 7th? That's what I'm in but might have been able to be in Alg 1 this year if I went to the same school last year.

Correct, until you have to prove it with theory,

untill you guys get a test problem asking to derive sum-of-angle formulas for sin(a+b) and cos(a+b) using DeMoivre's theorem cos(x) + isin(x) = e^ix by expanding the power series, none of you have the right to complain about math. at all.

Binomial expansions are complex too, but simple to do.

I fucking hate math, I got two 3/10s, one 4/10, one 5/10 and one 6/10 last year for math.

I honestly dont like math that much, but im good at it. Im taking Math 2 this year with sophomores. Next year I'll take Math 3. Junior year I'll be in AP Statistics and Pre-Calculus and senior year I'll be in AP Calculus

I'm taking Calc GT in Senior year, which is kinda a Business Calc class. Fits perfectly with what I'm majoring in in college.

Yeah, yeah yeah I bumped this. I'll buy it, how about that?

I wanna take calc just to challenge myself and for the self-satisfaction, but it'll be hard with sports. Definitely not first semester with football, but it'll still suck with baseball
