As I posted on the first thread, I've been looking in the OLD Staff forum threads and general suggestion threads for ideas. These would constitute my findings:

-Before what happened happened, we were in the serious work of putting together a v2.0 and a "Houses" thing. 2.0 would include, potentially, the houses and:

-Putting the homepage back up.
-FujiTimes newspaper (lol)
-Advertising methods that are unusual. (random twitters, formsprings, etc.)
-New service (packages)
-User of the week
-Facebook user for Fuji (I'm not real familiar with what that would entail)
-Affiliations with other forums (basically get back in the forumotion world)
-Youtube contest
-As far as staff is concerned (this would come in months), we could eliminate moderators. This is assuming we get more activity and need it.
-Another staff related thing: bringing back the service moderator position.

Here's what we had for shop additions:

-Scrolling announcements
-Having your own group
-Rentable usernames
-Elongated times for Chatmod.
-Free Name Change Friday

WILL BE ADDED TO LATER.

Getting the houses going again would be a major project, and I'm not even going to start until I know your opinion on it. A poll will be set up.

@CL Like I said, I don't know much about that. I'd delegate that to someone who knows a lot about Facebook. And as for the UOTW, we'd vote.

Ok, so we have mixed opinions on this stuff as a whole. That's fine, and actually good. Disagreement leads to constructive criticism which leads to new ideas which starts the whole cycle over.

I like the ideas although I'd never use a fuji newspapper (im on the site, why bother?), the homepage would be sweet

also what happend? I wasn't here when it took place and I have no clue.

Well, they're simply ideas. Nothing has been done on them, and it looks like nothing will, based on the outpouring of negative reactions.

And I gotcha Invis, take your time. I won't get around to adding them till the weekend anyway.

And since the House system thing wont die, here are some ideas

-Caption contest, Admin posts pic, user caption it and Judges dicide who wins
-Bi-monthly rap contest, houses choose reps, reps vs other reps..etc..
-GFX battles, title says it all

Of course we're going to have to choose like 1 or 2 ppl to be judges fo' life, but then we'd need to advertise or it'll just be the 3 out of 11 active people actually using Houses.
