Before you read this, no, I'm not angry, I'm not pissed at myself. I'm just not studying for the AP US history exam that's coming up. No matter how hard I try, I'm not gonna do good enough on it to receive college credit for it. Like, the fuck, I say, whenever my teacher asks up a random question like, oh, what happened in the Articles of Confederation, tell me about the Missouri Compromise, what color was Thomas Jefferson's hat? HOW THE FUCK DOES ONE REMEMBER THESE THINGS?

Here's the issue. I'm generally a good student/seem like a genius to others. I have a 3.8 cum average (lol cum average). I'm so much better at memorizing rules and formulas than I am at straight facts and dates. Had I taken regular people history, I would have gotten an easy A. ut I'm not APUSH material. I'm not a whiny kid that doesn't wanna do his homework, I just don't function like an Asian. :p

I never expected to get into Carnegie-Mellon¹ or anything. Don't expect to make 6 figures. even if I worked my ass off, I never would. Sort of like this AP test coming up. It's gonna fuck me anyways, why not let it fuck me hard?


¹Carnegie Mellon is a top-notch (is it Ivy league? idk) university in Pittsburgh, PA. According to my sister who attends a different Pittsburgh school, they only accept Asians cause they can do that. Well-known for their Computer Science & Music programs.

Yem.. you seriously have no faith in yourself. You don't have to be insanely smart to make 6 figures, just determined. A lot of semi-smart people go through college and be very successful. And BELIEVE ME, the apush ap test is not as hard as you think it's going to be. The questions we have on the tests in class are ten times harder than the ap test ones.

Seriously do, trust me. Just do one practice test online and you'll see. If you get half right you pass. I'm not studying either because I've already gotten 4s on the practice ones. They're easy as fuck trust me dude, just try one. Google it.

Carnegie-Mellon is legit. I seriously regret not applying there. Almost certainly would not have been accepted but still... idk. It was one of my best friend's top choices and he was rejected.

And study for your exam. Like Tristan said, have more faith in yourself. When I entered high school and heard about the IB program I thought to myself, eh, I'll probably go for the less prestigious and easier IB certificate instead of going for the hard-earned diploma. But I put faith in myself, went for it, and ended up tying for the highest cumulative IB score in my entire graduating class. It's seriously easy to underestimate your academic capability so just give it your all.

And the APUSH exam is one of the easiest from what I've heard.

LOL didn't know we would have the sames ones as you. I did ehh on the MC. The DBQ was easy. I did the North/South tensions due to westward expansion and intense cultural thingies. I had no idea about the one you did.

I BS'd (for the most part) the foreign policy one but out of the cultural things the only one I knew was prohibition. I have the physics one Monday, we'll see how that goes.

I did the tensions and the cultural conflicts. DBQ was definitely easy. All in all I'd say I got a 4.. if I got a 5 I'll flip shit. I doubt it though cuz on the tensions FRQ I couldn't think of too much besides slavery and politics (representation, parties, etc.)
