That pretty much sums up the meet. We came in 2nd in most events but all in all they whooped some ass against us. Personally I did good. Not great, but good. especially considering it was FUCKING 30 DEGREES OUT

"Second place is the first to lose" I hate that quote but I guess it applies sometimes.

We won a tri-meet today, I didn't go so I'm not sure of specifics, all I can find on the local news website is it was 88-80-10 and we got most 1st places. One of my friends won the 110 hurdles and 400 hurdles, 18.60 and 1:05.

In other news, doc says I won't do any damage if I run through plantar fasciitis. "Once more unto the breach, dear friends"... daily dose of Shakespeare. so yeah, I'm back.

I can't believe that me, having only practiced and jumped twice, beat every long jumper from the other school (they fuckin sucked). And we swept. I took third, but one of our seniors let me have 3 points instead of 1 since I haven't lettered yet. (or scored lololol. it's hard being a white sprinter. almost oxymoronic)

Meet tomorrow, running the mile for the 1st time ever in a meet. PR is 6:12 on a stress fracture and I seriously doubt my ability to beat it. We'll see how it goes

Not a bad meet, we lost but I PR'd, 5:57.4. First time sub-6, and that after 5 months off. I may not have lost as much as I thought...

Also, possible silver lining to getting injured; I'm faster now. I lost a lot of endurance but we did 10 x 400 on Thursday and my times are way faster than last year's. All between 76 and 84, last year I had never broken 80 in workouts.

Out of 7 schools, girls finished 2nd. Us guys finished like 5th lol. we kind of suck as a whole. Top three from each event. All I was there for was long jump. no running. We finished just after 4 and I got home 5 til 10...lol

Meet today, ran the 2-mile in 12:06, that's a one-second PR somehow after all this time off. I feel like shit though.

Finally, in the last meet, reached zeh goals. Under 12 and 25.

Was supposed to be in the relay tomorrow for long jump but I dropped out. Been hurting since the meet yesterday. I wanna be 100% for Friday's invitational. It's the same night as prom, so I'm gonna be in every sprinting event...lol

Damn really? Your school must be even smaller than mine... I do remember you telling me that it's white...lol. So's mine, but there are a small number of blacks too. I'm about 5th or 6th in the 100 and 200.

1200 kids or so, track team's about 80. And yes, mostly white, there's 1 good black sprinter but he's a freshman so he's not amazing.
In other news, speed workout yesterday, speed workout tomorrow. Fun fun fun.

YEM my split is usually low 2:10s but I haven't ran it in a bit. The other three guys get mid to high 2:00s

Weirdest meet ever today. It started out over 80 degrees and sunny...no clouds in the sky, everyone was sweating. Then out of NOWHERE it got cloudy as hell and started pouring. 45 minute delay which started right before my first event.

Tonight's prom (lol wtf friday) so everyone on our team was freshman or sophomore. And it went even worse than expected lol. a couple great teams were there and had crazy shit like 200 runners apparently under 22.

4x100 Finished 8th (last). I was second runner and I held us in second place. but remember we finished last. No split cause we also DQ'd for some unknown reason.
4x200 Finished 7th.
Sprint medley Finished last. It was like the 4x1 but I kept our 3rd place position. and we still ended up fooked.

If anything I'm more excited for last year

I'm out for the next few weeks...
